How Fast Is The Dodge Hornet R/T Plus?
The 2024 Dodge Hornet R/T Plus sits at the top of the Hornet lineup, and its position is justified by its outstanding performance. Boasting a cutting-edge plug-in hybrid powertrain, the R/T Plus is propelled by a robust 1.3-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine, amplified by two electric motors. The front electric motor contributes 44 horsepower and 39 lb-ft of torque, while the rear motor delivers an impressive 121 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. Working seamlessly with the turbocharged inline-4, the two electric motors synergize to produce a staggering total output of 288 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. Oh, and crowned the “Quickest PHEV Compact Crossover” the Hornet goes from 0-60 mph in a quick 5.6 seconds!

In a press release earlier this week, Jeep teased the upcoming arrival of their newest BEV (battery-electric vehicle); the Jeep Wagoneer S. Scheduled for a 2024 Fall release, the “S” was initially a placeholder, but it seems the “S” has made it past the drawing board and into the official model name. Unlike last year’s concept image, the new teaser shows much more detail on the front fascia. Front air dams (probably for battery cooling) and aerodynamic bits can be seen, along with details on the front eight-slot “grille”. Front sensors can be observed around the license plate area, most likely for its safety and driver assist technologies.
